Nani Tolordava is trained as a medical professional; however, her true passion lies in traditional craftsmanship, particularly felt-making. She mastered this craft independently through dedication, self-study, and continuous practice. In addition to felt-making, she has also acquired skills in embroidery and sewing, enriching her work with a distinctive artistic style and refined craftsmanship.

Over the years, felt-making has become not only a creative pursuit but also a stable source of income for her. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive practical experience, participated in numerous exhibitions and cultural events, and presented her handcrafted works to diverse audiences. She also has experience as a teacher, sharing her knowledge and practical skills with aspiring artisans and contributing to the preservation and promotion of this traditional craft.

For Nani, felt-making is far more than a profession - it is a form of artistic expression that allows her to reinterpret traditional techniques through a contemporary perspective. She continuously strives to develop her skills, explore new methods, and combine traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics in her creations.

The artisan produces a wide range of felt products, including accessories, collars, headbands, decorative magnets, felt sculptures, gloves, slippers, and various handcrafted decorative and functional items. Each piece is distinguished by meticulous attention to detail, harmonious color combinations, and a unique artistic character.

A significant source of inspiration for her work is traditional Georgian decorative art. Many of her ornamental compositions are inspired by the motifs found on the traditional Georgian Blue Tablecloth (Lurji Supra), as well as floral designs, which give her felt creations a distinctive national identity while presenting them through a contemporary artistic interpretation.
