Project Presentation

Today was held the presentation of our new project “ECHOES IN CLAY Georgian and US Ceramic Artists' Dialogue and Cultural Exchange” implemented by the Georgian Heritage Crafts Association and Glen Echo Pottery GEP supported by US EMBASSY TBILISI/ Cultural and Educational Small Grants Program. The goal of this project is to raise awareness of professional ceramics artistry and techniques, including an examination of ceramics history in each country, and to lay the foundation for possible future in-person exchanges promoting collaborative artistic, technical and scholarly initiatives. The online master class “STONEWARE CLAY IN NEW MEXICO ONE POTTER’S APPROACH” was delivered by Theo Helmstadter, Green River Pottery, (Santa Fe, New Mexico) owner & director. The event was held in the framework of the Festival “Ceramic Alchemy” 22 29 10 2021 organized by Social Enterprise Andamati with the institutional support of Museum of Adjara funded by Adjarian Ministry of Education, Culture Sports, Shuakhevi Municipality
